So I've been a little MIA lately from the blogosphere...but I'm back now, and ready with lots of posts coming soon! I've been incredibly busy, working a lot and cleaning even more..oh and also taking quite a few naps in my spare time! ;) Don't judge! I've got a lot of exciting things ahead of me this summer including my uncle and his adorable fiance's wedding, and I may even be walking in a fashion show in September ( fingers crossed).

I've been in the process of redecorating my room for a while now, and I've had a really hard time trying to figure out what kind of furniture I want, especially when it comes to end tables. In my quest to find the perfect table, I've really gravitated towards gold, brass, or worn looking metal style tables. I've found so many tables that I love while shopping online, but most of them are majorly out of my price range.

I've literally been searching everywhere for something similar to these tables, and after a spur of the moment trip to Homegoods with my Mom...I found this beauty! It looks incredibly similar to the $1,049 table pictured above...except in only cost me $60! I even got a discount because one of the mirrors had a huge crack..but it looked easy to hide, so there was no way I could say no!

Look for less? I'd say so! :)

Puppy Love

Today has been such a lazy day..I literally have not left my bed once, except for the occasional trip downstairs to grab yet another cupcake and shove it down my throat. Haha! Yesterday was one of my favorite managers last day at work, so I made her a batch of Funfetti cupcakes..but I also went ahead and made myself a batch of lemonade flavored cupcakes with lemonade icing. I'm pretty sure I've eaten close to 12 cupcakes in the past two days alone. This is clearly a problem. I really should work out, but I'm having such a nice time relaxing and snuggling with my puppies, and it's too hard to get up! Does anyone else ever feel this way? Like you just can't get up and get going? I think it's kind of nice! :)

In The Clear

From trays to chairs to jewelry, Lucite is everywhere in fashion and especially in home decor. The look is clean, modern, and completely chic! Not only does it look natural in almost any setting, but it seamlessly fits into a broad range of decorating styles. If you're like me and still live at home with your family, you might be able to relate to the constant urge of wanting to turn your bedroom into a functional mini apartment, something that feels like your own space. Right now the way my room is set up, I've managed to squeeze a full bed and a small settee into my girl cave, and still have some room to spare. To fill the left over space, along with some side tables I've also considered adding a small desk and chair so I can sit to do my homework. I figure the desk should be something small and simple, and a Lucite ghost chair would give the illusion of a larger space. Case in point...I need one!

Cup-crazy

Recently I've come to the conclusion that I have undoubtedly developed a full blown addiction to Gigi's Cupcakes. These cupcakes are so incredibly delicious and the icing to cake ratio is like nothing I've ever seen before! So amazing in fact, I can't seem to go more than a week without stopping by the shop! Clearly this is going to be a problem for both my waistline and my wallet. But with weekly buy one get one deals for Gigi's Facebook fans and my frequent buyer rewards card, these cupcakes are getting really hard to pass up!
Does anyone else have this kind of problem with cupcakes or any other sweets?
I'm think I may need to join a Cupcakes Anonymous group at the rate I'm going...:)

Happy Mother's Day

As you all know, today is Mother's Day, a day that comes once a year when our Mother's get the recognition and thanks they deserve for having put up with all of our crap for so many years. Haha! A day when every Mom deserves to be treated like a princess, a day when the world revolves around them. As a small act of appreciation for everything my Mom has done for me, I put together a little breakfast for she and my Grandma which included homemade pancakes, peach mango green tea served in wine glasses, all on a peonies adorned kitchen table!

My Mom means more to me than anything else in the entire world, and without here I wouldn't be the person I am today. She is the strongest, most caring, and beautiful person I know. If I could, I would give her the world...but as for right now, a pancake breakfast will have to do.

Thanks Mom, for everything you do. :)

Sugar Rush

Today while digging through the pantry for a yummy snack, I stumbled upon some of my favorite cupcake liners, which just happen to be THE cutest liners in the world! After a few moments of taking in their cuteness, I was inspired to turn these adorable, little liners into something a little more wearable. Bright, gorgeous colors are so in right now, so here's my attempt at making fashion a little more sweet! :)
